Continuous Cargo Tank Level
Changing products, fluctuating temperature and different densities are a special challenge for the level measurement in cargo tanks. The VEGAPULS 62 cargo radar sensors are unaffected by temperature, pressure or gas stratification and deliver accurate measurement data right from the start. The measurement is insensitive to density fluctuations of the products because the sensor always measures the distance to the product surface. The PTFE coated antenna ensures optimum chemical resistance even for applications in aggressive products. All measured values and alarm signals are visualized both in the loading control room and on the bridge.
Inert Gas Pressure
The VEGABAR 52 pressure transmitter is particularly suitable for monitoring the gas pressure in cargo tanks. Its ceramic-capacitive CERTEC® measuring cell enables precise monitoring (to within several millibar) of the internal tank pressure and even withstands pressure shocks due to rough seas.
95% and 98% Alarm
To ascertain the 95% and 98% alarms, two VEGASWING 63 vibrating level switches are applied. The sensors operate independently of one another. The VEGASWING 63 is ideally suited for this application due to its rugged construction, the insensitivity of its vibrating fork and its reliable switching characteristics in conjunction with changing products. Its test key makes fast and reliable on-site checking possible. |
