Electromagnetic microwave pulses are the measurement mechanism for the VEGAFLEX guided microwave tank level gauges. Once initially configured, the gauges will never need to be recalibrated, and will never experience 0 point drift or fluctuations due to specific gravity, temperature, dust, or pressure. This translates into less time spent on set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting, and results in a worry-free installation that will perform beyond expectation.

Benefits & Features
• Applications: For use in liquids, solids, or interface applications
• Flexible Mounting: Including NPT, ANSI flanges, and sanitary connections
• Easy Set-up: Typical system set up in less than 5 minutes! Easy to use programming module or computer software makes set-up easy, and fast
• No Re-calibration Required
• Low Maintenance: With no moving parts, the VEGAFLEX guided microwave radar gauge will significantly reduce maintenance time and cost
• Ease of Measurement: Able to measure during fill / empty phase

VEGAFLEX 61- Guided Microwave Tank Level Indicator for HFO Tanks

The heavy fuel oil stored in the service and settling tank has a high storage temperature and contains a number of different chemical compounds. Sticky oil vapours make the level measurement very difficult. The VEGAFLEX 61 guided microwave sensor easily masters this problem. It guarantees a reliable measurement from the top. The space-saving mounting of the cable version makes it the ideal level measuring instrument for all heavy fuel oil tanks.

VEGAFLEX 65 - Guided Microwave Tank Level Indicator for Smaller Tanks

The VEGAFLEX 65 emits a microwave pulse at a frequency of 2GHz. This pulse travels down to the product surface and is “guided” by a stainless steel cable or rod. When the pulse hits the surface of the product it is reflected back to the gauge. The transit time of the microwave pulse that returns to the antenna is measured and used to calculate the distance to the fluid. The compact footprint and cost-effective pricing of the VEGAFLEX 65 makes it an ideal instrument for smaller tank level indication, such as potable water tanks.

VEGAFLEX 67- Guided Microwave Tank Level Indicator for Interface Measurement

The VEGAFLEX 67 is used in compensated tanks to indicate the level of the interface between two different fluids, along with the overall liquid level of the tank. Typical applications include use in fuel oil compensated tanks, in which diesel fuel and seawater reside in the same tank. The VEGAFLEX 67 is used extensively in the United States Navy class of Ticonderoga Cruisers for tank level indication.
